Companies now required to publicly justify rates under Obamacare
More bad news about the healthcare law. The Obama administration announced Friday that companies seeking to raise health premium rates by more than 10 percent will be exploited on a government website.
Sebelius Excuses Sloppy Spanish Translations on Obamacare Website
And the excuses continue to flow, as to why the Obamacare website isn’t signing up any hispanics. Since when do they pay for anything, they don’t work but collect welfare. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius excused translation mistakes on the Spanish-language version of the Obamacare website, explaining that insurance terminology is “arcane” and therefore difficult to translate.
Obamacare’s Fishy Navigators
We are finding out that 1 in 7 of New Mexico’s certified Obamacare navigators had a match in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database. In total, 38 health-care guides or certified application counselors received their certification despite a match, according to records from the New Mexico Office of the Superintendent of Insurance (OSI), which certifies navigators working with the New Mexico Health Insurance Exchange.
Sebelius: Observe MLK Day by signing up for Obamacare
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius is using the memory of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. to encourage Americans to sign up for the troubled Obamacare system. “As we celebrate the inspirational life of Dr. King, please join us in this historic effort by helping your friends, neighbors, and loved ones get covered through the Marketplace,” Sebelius said of the observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Group of state attorneys general say ObamaCare changes are illegal
There are 11 state Attorneys General that are slamming the Obama administration for making repeated changes to ObamaCare without consulting congressional lawmakers, which they say is illegal. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius received a letter in which the group specifically criticizes the administration’s decision to allow insurance companies to sell policies that would otherwise be out of compliance with the Affordable Care Act for another year.
Obamacare and the mandate exemption
Even though the Republicans from the beginning were pushing for a delay of the individual mandate, the Obama administration announced December 19 that it would be doing just that for Americans whose health insurance policies were cancelled because they did not comply with the Affordable Care Act (ACA). Obummer thinks this will pacify us, and get us in time, to sign up still, for his plan.
HHS says transition to new health insurance easier
The Department of Health and Human Services says it has taken steps to give those buying individual health insurance for Jan. 1 coverage. HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius says the steps include requiring insurers to accept payments received through Dec. 31 for coverage beginning Jan. 1, and urging issuers to give consumers additional time to pay their first month’s premium and still have coverage beginning the first of the year.
Sebelius adds Christmas levity to frustrating ObamaCare shopping experience?
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius embattled over glitch-plagued HealthCare.gov, is suggesting some standard holiday shopping tips for Americans trying to buy insurance on the website. Sebelius suggests Americans “avoid the lines” by shopping on the site during off-peak hours, after weeks of the ObamaCare site crashing because of too many visitors at once.
Mental, Behavioural Health Coverage Mandated
And just when we thought things couldn’t get any worse, with the high cost of healthcare premiums and all the mandates, the new plans also have been hit with another. A new Obama administration rule requires insurers to cover treatment for mental health and substance abuse no differently than they do for physical illnesses.
