Border Patrol Official: Family Migrants Overwhelming Enforcement

U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Deputy Commissioner Robert Perez said Wednesday, apprehension numbers at the nation’s southern border in February marked a 12-year high, and more than half of the migrants being apprehended are made up of family units, while commenting on reports from Department of Homeland Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen that 76,000 people had attempted crossings.

Illinois rep blasts ‘bogus’ Jussie Smollett case, rolls out bill to nix film tax credit for his employers

Illinois Rep. Michael McAuliffe,  is  firing back at Jussie Smollett’s alleged hate crime hoax charges being dropped with legislation of his own. The lawmaker announced his decision Tuesday to file a bill that would prohibit any TV or film production that employs the “Empire” actor from receiving state tax film credits. Earlier that day, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office said it was granting Smollett nolle pros, essentially dropping the case.

An ISIS supporter who planned to kill 100 people in a “spectacular” terror attack in London has been jailed. Lewis Ludlow, 27, from Rochester, Kent, was going to drive a bomb-laden truck on Oxford Street after being refused permission to leave the UK.
